We have three demo models in (we may well be the only shop in the UK with three to try!) one in each handlebar type. And our S-Type is a Superlight model with titanium front and rear end.

We use the Superlight as our shop run-around, so each of us has experience of trips to the post office/bank/cak shop on a folding bike. Lots of cool things happening in April; international road racing has the cobbled classics in Belgium including the legendary Tour of Flanders on April 3rd and Paris Roubaix, known as “The Hell of the North” the following week. Mountainbiking’s Downhill World Cup and the UCI BMX Supercross series both kick off in April and both visit South Africa’s Pietermaritzberg (at different times in the month though!) Domestic racing begins in earnest too and will see shop worker James get stuck into the BMX National Series. Robbie is still blasting round the boards at the velodrome as well as getting serious miles into his legs for his PBP challenge.

Robbie decided against the domestic duties and postponed stopping altogether on Saturday as he rode a 300km Audax as part of qualifying for the mammoth task of riding the Paris-Brest-Paris 1200km event.

On a cold, but dry day, Robbie took in the sights of the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean (with 4500m of climbing thrown in for good measure) and returned home happy but a little tired!

The 2011 PBP will be Robbie’s 4th one, having completed the three previous editions (that occur only once every 4 years!)

You can keep track of his progress on our blog, as he still has rides of 400km and 600km to complete! Of course that’s nothing for Robbie…
